Lavender

I (Mariana) don't know if it's because of the cultural difference, but since I moved to Denmark what I miss the most is the support and kind words I received (and still receive) from the Portuguese people since I started photography. But over time, I learned that the Danes can be equally affectionate people (you just need to give them time) as happened recently with a Danish photographer, when she sent me a private message saying how much she liked our work. That filled my heart.

This photoshoot was equally full of support and open-mind. My client wanted to portray her image in the shape of something more physical, a picture. It was an entire day full of interesting conversations, connection and support.

I will never forget the conversation and the attitude she had afterwards: "Mariana, I will pay you more because you deserve it and for all the talent you have."
